This video is amazing for its mix of 2D and 3D with simple drawings. The neighborhood also looks like the jersey suburbs, same houses over and over in the development.
I like this ad because it mixes 3D real photos with animation using multiplaning.
This is older but classic- I love the cutout animation. Very sureal yet feels like its own world.
I also feel strongly influenced by Aqua Teen Hunger Force so please check this out as well for screen shots and video clips-

Side tables, coffee table and cabinets
sofa style

sofa should be a three cushion homey couch. It could have a pattern or if that is too difficult, a solid light color like yellow or beige will work well. I want it to be three cushion so at times three characters can sit on the chair. I want it to be kinda low to the ground and not too tall- cause the characters are short. I also dont want the seat pillows to look too fluffy cause otherwise you will expect to see the cartoon kids to sink into the sofa and that is too much extra animation. Here are some samples of sofa's I like.
Living room layouts
Here is the layout of the living room- I want it to feel like a sitcom stage. The camera should never get close to the 180 line. I want there to be plenty of stuff in the BG so it looks like it is lived in and decorated by Doug's mom. We will use focus to blightly blur out the BG so it is not the focus of the eye. But makes for fun if you want to pause it. It makes for funny jokes upon repeated viewings.
